About Us

Our physiotherapists are Jim and Jenny Lynn.


Jim

Jim Lynn - McKenzie Method Specialist

Jim received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Missouri, Columbia Missouri USA, a Graduate Diploma in Manipulative Physiotherapy from The Western Australian Institute of Technology (WAIT) now known as Curtin University, Perth Australia, and a Diploma in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy from The McKenzie Institute International, New Zealand.

Jim's postgraduate experience has included positions as a commissioned officer physical therapist in the United States Navy and senior musculoskeletal physical therapist at Kaiser Permanente Medical Centre, Hayward California. Since 1978 he has been in private practice in both the United States of America and Australia.

Clinical faculty appointments have included Kaiser Permanente Physical Therapy Residency Program in Advanced Orthopaedic Manual Therapy, Hayward California; Stanford University, Palo Alto California; University of California, San Francisco California; the McKenzie Institute International; Curtin University, Perth Australia and Washington University in St. Louis Missouri. He is currently an adjunct senior teaching fellow at The Centre for Musculoskeletal Studies in the School of Surgery and Pathology at the University of Western Australia, Perth Australia.

Musculoskeletal physiotherapy consultant appointments have included the United States Public Health Service; the Commonwealth of Australia, Department of Defence, Army Special Air Service Regiment; the United States of America, Department of the Navy; Harborview Medical Centre, Seattle Washington and SSM Health Care System, St. Louis Missouri.

Publications include An Interpretation of the McKenzie Approach to Low Back Pain, Clinics in Physical Therapy, Volume 13, Physical Therapy of the Low Back, Edited by L.T. Twomey and J.R. Taylor, Churchill Livingstone Inc., 1987 and Prospective Study of Anterior Cervical Fusion Outcome using the Signus Rabea PEEK Cage, Journal of Clinical Neuroscience, 2004.

Jenny Lynn - McKenzie Method Specialist

Jenny received an Associateship in Physiotherapy and attended the Graduate Diploma Course in Manipulative Therapy at The Western Australian Institute of Technology (WAIT) now known as Curtin University, Perth Australia. She is a Master of Medical Science degree candidate at The Centre for Musculoskeletal Studies in the School of Surgery and Pathology at the University of Western Australia, Perth Australia. Her academic thesis is the Outcome of Early Rehabilitation Following Lumbar Microdiscectomy.

Jenny's postgraduate experience has included positions as a staff physiotherapist at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth Australia; respiratory physiotherapist co-ordinator at Methodist Hospital, Houston Texas and senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist at Kaiser Permanente Medical Centre, Hayward, California. Since 1978, she has been in private practice in Australia and the United States of America.
